My CCIE Journey
Just a brief introduction about my education before achieving my CCIE. I did my engineering in Electronics and Communication from Karunya Institute of Technology (2001-2005) which was under Anna University. Worked for a brief period of time. Then went on to pursue my post graduation - MSc Mobile and Distributed Computer Networks from (2006-2008) at Leeds Metropolitan University passed out with merit.
Early April 2011 - That's when I decided to do my CCIE Voice program from Networkers Home in Bangalore. It was an 8 month integrated program which took us all the way from basic CCNA, CCNP, CCNA - Voice, CCNP Voice and CCIE. It was one of the biggest gambles I took in my life as it requires a lot dedication and time. I was not sure whether I would be able to make it in the beginning but the tutor's at Networkers Home who had placed their trust in me made me go forward.
Slowly my confidence grew and I was able to complete my course in time and most importantly I went in for my LAB exam in a confident manner. For those who have not heard about CCIE LAB exams - It is an 8 hour lab exam where you need to be present in one of the CISCO site and remotely configure devices placed at a different location. How I understood it, was that, you need to be fast and accurate with your configuration at the same time. Presence of mind and trying to keep your calm when you are stuck, does play a key role.
I am very thankful to the Networkers Home team especially Vikas Swami and Sunny Sharma for helping me to achieve my dream. I was very lucky to have also attended MASTER trainer Mr Harith Kariapper's bootcamp. Those 10 days made a huge difference.

I gave my LAB exam on the 27th of February 2012 in Bangalore and I was
really lucky to have been one among the 2-3% of people to have cleared
it in the first attempt. It was. an overall team effort. I would like to
thank my colleagues Shabbir, Kruthi and Ali for their support. I dedicate this number to all who have supported me by saying that it was always possible.
My CCIE Voice plaque and certificate that followed -
Want to specially dedicate this number to a very close friend/brother who always trusted in me Vinay Padmanaban who lost his life in a tragic bike accident.
Vinay (Papu) - This one is for you -
I sincerely thank GOD and my family for their immense support without which it would never have happened.
